The diagram demonstrates the emergency of fire evacuation plan for the second floor of a college student accommodation building. Overall, the layout of the floor shows seven rooms, a corridor, two staircases, and a lift. While the lift is not going to be used during a fire, the stairs in the right wing are designated for more evacuees.
Meeting point 1 occupied on the left-hand side with stairs directly upon entering, providing safer way to come out. Specifically, bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 are located to next each other on the top-left corner of the floor, whereas bedroom 3 is situated on the opposite side of the two mentioned rooms. If a fire incident happens, students from these rooms are required to reach the meeting point1 through the staircase.
On the other side of the plan, bedroom 7 and bedroom 6 are constructed along the bottom side of the building to the right of room3. Furthermore, bedrooms 6, 5 and 4 are aligned along the right wall on the second floor. In emergency situations, students are supposed to evacuate from aforementioned rooms and assemble at the required location by running through the corridor. Additionally, people stating at the central elevator should leave there immediately when fire alarm is triggered.
