The presented maps illustrates the information about the differences of the underground tunnel systems for cars between two Australian cities.
In general, it can be clearly seen that the two underground tunnels have a different shape along with the difference in the length. The underground tunnels are built in the different period of time, in which that one is constructed earlier that the other one, as similar to the cost, one is cost more expensive than the other.
To begin with, in the first map (upper maps), the underground tunnel is surrounded by a sand, while the lower tunnel is covered by stone and clay. Furthermore, the lower tunnel in the second map has a higher length and wide than the upper tunnel in the first map (2,2 km and 1,5 km respectively).
The given maps also shows that the upper tunnel had been built earlier in between 1986 until 1998, while the lower tunnel was built in between 2002 until 2006. In addition, the upper tunnel cost lower than the upper tunnel ($1,1 billion and $555 million).
