The diagram depicts about principle used in designs of house for cooler and warmer climates.
Overall,it is evident that for cool climate the designs of houses should include both heat storage material as well as insulation with reflecting roofs for shade and during night open windows for ventilation is required to tolerate both cooler and warmer climate.
To begin with, house designs required for cooler climate is high angled roof on the top and needed a thermal building material inorder to store heat inside the house to tolerate the cold climate. To add on, insulation should be made around the house to reduce the heat loss . Finally a window should placed on east direction where the sunlight fall through the window inside the house and hence ,the thermal building material will help in the storage of heat inorder to adapt cold weather
On the other hand,to get adaptable with warmer condition at day time there needed a external insulation alongwith the reflective roof material to reflect back the sunlight that falls over the house. In addition, roof which overhages is required for shade and slight insulation inside just below the reflective roof material. Moreover, window should be closed and covered . Furthermore, during night time window should be opened to remove the heat that I stored inside the house
