The diagrams illustrate how cement is produced and is used for concrete production. As observed from the flow chart , the process of making cement is complex as compared to the process of making concrete.
Overall, the process of making cement has more steps and concrete is made in a single step only.
To begin with, cement is produced by mixing raw material i.e limestone and clay . These are crushed in the crusher. Both materials are mixed in a tool called mixer. Then this mixed material goes from the rotating heater , in which heat comes from the end of it before the mixture drops into the grinder. After this process , mixture becomes cement and is finally packed into bags.
After that, in the concrete production there is only one step which is to mix material in proportion i.e 15% cement, 10% water, 25% sand and 50% gravel(small stones) , in concrete mixer, which rotates to form the concrete.
