The diagram illustrates the steps in the cement production process, and how it is used as the material to form concrete for construction purposes. Overall, there are four steps in the cement production process, starting with limestone and clay as the raw materials and ending in bagged cement. However, there is only one process in the concrete production process.
In the beginning, limestone and clay are put into the crusher to form powder. The powder created from previous process is entered into the mixing machine and heated in the rotating heater. The product from that process is ground in the grinder, resulting with cement as the final product in cement manufacturing process. It is then packed into bags of cement which are used in the concrete production process.
Furthermore, to make a concrete, cement is going to be combined with three other materials before going to the mixing machine. Half of the ingredients to produce concrete is consisted of gravel, added with sand (25%), cement (15%), and water (10%). The mixing machine is then rotated to blend all ingredients to create a perfect concrete.
