The picture illustrates how pollution effect the global warming of the earth.
Overall, the sun warms up the earth trough heat radiation. A higher amount of greenhouse gases on earth traps more heat from the sun, hence it becomes warmer.
The greenhouse process begins with the sun, that contributes with heat radiation. Only 51% of the heat generated from the sun is absorbed by the earth. Remaining 49% of the heat are scattered and absorbed by clouds and the atmosphere. Furthermore greenhouse gases traps the heat, making earth suitable for living organisms such as animals and plants.
Moreover, a contributing factor to the increasing temperature is emissions. These emissions are emitted by for instance factories and cars. The emissions include pollutants which are grenhouse gases. In addition, these greenhouse gases from factories increases the amount that already exists in the atmosphere. This higher rate of harmful gases traps more heat on earth. As a result, earth becomes warmer and global warming has occured.
