At first glance, the life cycle of this marine species lasts around 10 years, during which it is experiences changes in both habitat and body size.
First of all, the baby salmons called fries whose body length is just around 3-8 centimeters.In addition, the fries spend about 4 years living in lower river where the flow is fast. After that, the fries grow and become smolts which is around 12-15 centimeters long. Those smolts settle in the open sea for around 5 years.
Following this, the smolts continue to grow. When they reach the 70-76 centimeters of body size, they become the adult salmons. During this period, the adult salmons migrate to upper river where the moving of water migrate to upper river where the moving of water is slow, staying here for about about 5-6 months. finally, the adult salmon lay egg under the reeds and small stones to be protected. These eggs then hatch into small salmons and new life cycle begins
