The image displays the "Life Cycle of Salmon" as a cyclical diagram with three numbered stages. The cycle begins in the Upper River (slow moving) where salmon eggs stay for approx 5-6 months among reeds and small stones. Stage 1 is the Fry, measuring 3-8cm, which then moves to the Lower River (fast flowing) for approx 4 years. Stage 2 is the Smolt, measuring 12-15cm, which travels to the Open Ocean for approx 5 years. Stage 3 is the Adult salmon, measuring 70-76cm, which swims from the ocean back to the Upper River to restart the cycle. A key at the bottom identifies: 1 Fry (3-8cm), 2 Smolt (12-15cm), and 3 Adult salmon (70-76cm).
Given the complexity of the image, the above description may not be entirely accurate.

The illustration demonstates the life cycle of the salmon.
Overall, the cycle starts at fertilized eggs and ends at return of adult salon to the spawn area. Two major water bodies are needed for the whole process that are rivers and open seas.
Firstly, a big sum of fertilised salmon eggs that are present in river hatch and after hatching small salmons which at that moment are called frys come out of them which mainly grow verticaly longer and once they gain some size their name changes from fry to Smolt. Further, the Smolt now has to travel all the way to open sea in order to reach its adult form.
Once the smolt reaches the sea they consume nutrition in the sea for about five years and after matureing the salmons have to return back to the spawn location in order to lay eggs again and upon returning they have to face a major challege of fighting the river currect in order to reach their destination.
