The diagram illustrates the process of making liquid chocolate from cocoa beans.
Overall, this process includes 10 steps, beginning with growing cocoa beans and ending with the final product: liquid chocolate.
The process begins with ripe red pods being collected from cocoa trees, which are grown in many different continents and countries such as: South America, Africa and Indonesia. In the next step, pods are cutted to harvest the white cocoa beans inside. The beans continue to undergo the fermentation process under the banana leaves before being spread in the sun to remove the remaining water.
After that, the cocoa beans are divided into different sacks, ready to be transported by train or larry to the factory. When the beans arrive at the factory, they are roasted in a big oven at 350 degrees Celsius. The processed beans are then crushed by a specialized machine to remove the outer shell. In the final step, the inner part of the cocoa beans are pressed by two rollers to produce the liquid chocolate.
