Overall, visiting friends or family was reported to be the most popular option in all airports, with the exception of Gatwick airport that was used mostly for holiday purposes. Futhermore, individuals’ the least chosen reason for using airports was business.

Turning to the statistics the percentage of going to holidays by Gatwick airport made up more than half the whole aggregation, while the figure for holiday purposes was less popular in other airports. The proportion of visits to family or friends houses was dominant over other three options in three airports; however, Gatwick airport was used only 30% for this purpose.

Regarding the least popular option in terms of selecting airports was the purpose of business,which accounted for 26 % of Heathrow airport, while the figure was almost the same in other airports (14%)
