The given chart shows the data about the Uk. Immigration, Emigration and Net Migration from 1999 to 2008.
It is clear that the percentage of immigration and proportion of Emigration had risen. By contrast the amount of Net Migration stayed roughly the same over the shown period.
In 1999, the figure for Immigration was around to 420 000, while the Emigration percentage was just under the 300 000. Whereas, the Net migration increased near to 200 000 in the same year.
Not only, there was a significant increase for the proportion of the Uk Immigration, but also this change can be seen for the Emigration’s people over the 4 following years. However, the Net Migration rate remained relatively unchanged by 2004.
The amount of Net Migration went up approximately about 250 000, Although, Immigration rate had peaked at under the 600 000, whilst the Emigration level stayed stable. There was a considerable fluctuating change about 200 or more than that in Net Migration from 2004 to 2008. By 2008 The Net rate dropped to around 170 000 sharply, while the Uk Immigration grew up to near 600 000 and the Emigration first declined and then rose to near 410 000 respectively.
