The line graph illustrates information about number of jobs distrubuted across four sectors in US economy, namely manufacturing, retail, agriculture, healthcare, over the course of six decades from 1960 to 2020.
Overall, it is evident that manufacturing, starting at hightest point and fallen over the years. Similarly, agriculture has also dropped but it is not on top of point. Meanwhile, the other two sectors, retail and healthcare have gradually increased over six decades.
Looking at the manufacturing, which began at hightest point with 15 million in 1960, slightly increased to 20 million in 1980, and later fell dramatically to approxmately 13 million in 2020. Althrough in retail and agriculture were initially recorded at approxmately 5 million in 1960, retail marginally rose to 10 million in 1980, 15 million in 2000, and reached to its peak in 2020. Whereas agriculture decreased less than 5 million in both years 1980 and 2000, then less than 2 million in 2020.
On other hand, healthcare was at the bottom compared to other sectors, begins roughly 2 million in 1960, then increased to 5 million in 1980, later rapidly rose to more than 10 million in 2000, following this climbed significantly to more than 15 million in 2020.
