The line graph provides information about four different jobs in four sectors of the economy: manufacturing, retail, agriculture, and healthcare, in the USA. Throughout the period of time between 1960 and 2020.
Overall, it is evident that manufacturing, starting from the highest point, has fallen over the years; similarly, agriculture has also dropped. Meanwhile, the other two sectors, retail and healthcare, have gradually increased over six decades.
Looking first at manufacturing, which began at the highest point, with 15 million, slightly increased to 20 million in 1980, and later fell dramatically to 13 million in 2020. Although Retail and agriculture were initially recorded at approximately 5 million at the beginning, Retail marginally rose to 10 million in 1980, 15 million in 2000, and reached its highest peak in 2020, at slightly above 15 million. Whereas Agriculture decreased to less than 5 million in both of the years 1980 and 2000, then to 2 million in 2020.
On the other hand, Healthcare was at the bottom compared to other sectors, being roughly 2 million, then rose to 5 million in 1980, later rapidly increased to above 10 million in 2000, following this climbed significantly to more than 15 million in 2020.
