The diagram illustrates the data about the number of jobs in four different sectors of the economy in the US from 1960 to 2020.
Overall, it can be seen that the ratio of jobs in manufacturing department were increased throughout the more than half of the given time, but later it fell; however, the number of jobs in a retail and the healthcare sectors were increased by total notable time and both reached at the highest level by the end of the time. While, the ratio of jobs in a agriculture depart were same with the retail ratio but not like a retail, it decreased steadily during the given period.
The employment rate in a manufacturing field was at higher point, approximately 15 millions which reached at the peak in 1980, around 20 million, after that it dropped down throughout and reached around 13 million. Whereas, the ratio of healthcare and retail were nearly 3 and 6 million respectively, which steadily increased throughout the time and both touched the highest point of 16 million in 2020. On the other hand, the number of agricultural jobs were same with the number of retail jobs but unlike the retail trend, it dropped continuously and reached around 3 million in 2020.
