Overall, it is obvious that population is growing in all different countries. The highest growth is recorded by far by Malaysia, and the lowest rate of population growth is for Thailand.
The percentage of population starts with almost 15% in 1970 in Indonesia and grew up to 50% in 2020. Moreover, the estimated rate for future is 60% in 2030 and roughly 62% in 2040. In Malaysia also gradual increase occurred until 2020, which started from 30% to approximately 75% and it has been estimated to grow up to almost 85% in 2040.
In Philippines, there were 30% resident in cities in the year 1970, which reached a peak at 50% in 1990, then conversely experienced a gradual decrease at almost 40% in 2010. Thailand, with roughly 20% citizens in 1970, had gradual growth up to almost30% in 1990, then remained the same level till 2020. The future estimated population for this country would be 40% and 50% in 2030 and 2040, respectively.
