From 1970 to 2020 Malayasia and Indonesia experienced a remarkable growth in their city population surging from approximately 30% to nearly 70% and from just under the 20% to 30% respectively. These trends are anticipated to culminate by the by the end of the forecasted period.
Conversely, the Philippines population rose from almost 30% to about 50%, although there was a slight dip in 2010 to around 40%. It has since continued to grow and is expected to reach its peak in 2040.
Similarly, the City population of Thailand experienced a significant growth from roughly 10% to almost 30% by 2020 with expectations to reach around 40% at the end of the forecasted period.
