An overall, bananas price in Japan was shown the most expensive cost between three other countries over the period, while USA remained stable at the cheepest cost. France and Germany’s prices were experienced some fluctuation but stayed at the same point, noting that France’s cost was a little bit more than Germany’s.
In 1994, the price of bananas in Japan started increasing dramatically from approximately $2.00 and was experienced its peak up point at about $3.00 in 1995. Then it decreased to about $1.50 in 2001, before rising to $2.50 in 2004. At the same time, USA’s price was the most affordable to people, starting at nearly $1.00 and grew slowly to about $1.20, then maintained the same level until 2004.
The second expensive price was in France, which started at around $1.70 and there is no change until 1997, when it declined with some fluctuation to a point $1.00 in 2003, before growing again to roughly $1.60 in 2004. In Germany, the price fluctuated around $1.25 and $1.50 during the period of 1994 and 2002, which is followed by remaining steady at approximately $1.25 until 2004.
