The chart compares the number of people participating in five different activities in a social center in Melbourne, Australia during a 20-year period from 2000 to 2020.
On the whole, there were upward trends in the number of participants for both table tennis and musical performances, while the figure for amateur dramatics saw a considerable decline. Another interesting point is that film clubs remained the most popular activity, with the largest number of participants throughout the period.
There was significant growth in the number of participants for both table tennis and musical performances, the former number almost doubled, finishing at 65 56 and 16 respectively. By contrast, the figure for amateur dramatics went in the opposite direction. Despite increasing steadily to 28 in 2005, the figure then started to fall substantially, finishing well under 10 in 2020. With respect to film clubs and martial arts, the number of participants in these two categories experienced mild fluctuations throughout the period, ending at roughly 65 and 35 in turn.
