The graph illustrates the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia over the period from 2000 to 2020.
Overall, we can easily see that there were a lot of big fluctuations of the participants in some activities like table tennis, amateur dramatics and musical performances.
Film club was the activity which people participated in most from 2000 to 2020. In addition, it always has stability when we can only record some slight increase or decrease like the growth from 60 to 65 in 2015.
From 2000 to 2005, the total number of people participating in music performance activities was the lowest when we did not see any participants during this period. Otherwise, it had its first growth in 2010 when the number of people participating in the activity increased to 10. Furthermore, the number of people participating in this activity still tends to increase in the future.
At the beginning, the number of people participating in activities such as amateur dramatics, table tennis and martial arts did not have a big difference with martial arts ranked first and table tennis was the lowest among three. However, with the sharp increase of table tennis from 2010 to 2020 along with the significant decrease of amateur dramatics in 2005 , the rank had changed with table tennis having the highest number of participants and amateur was the lowest.
