By the year 1967 The most polluted country by carbon dioxide releasing was The United Kingdom with approximately 11 tonnes per meter. Sweden with near 9 tonnes emission was in the second place. Italy and Portugal’s average were roughly 4 and 1 tonnes respectively. By the end of the given period Sweden and Portugal’s amount of carbon dioxide emission decreased at the same level which is roughly 6 metric tones, while United Kingdom released the highest amount of carbon dioxide with amount of near 9 tonnes and Italy’s emissions was about 8 tonnes in 2007.
Obviously, Sweden was the only nation that saw a dramatic rise during this 50year period which happened in 1977, right after that peak state the CO2 emissions fell dramatically and gradually decreased till 2007. In 1997, both Italy and Portugal met a level then stayed the same and don’t experienced massive changes up to 2007.However the United Kingdom saw gradual decrease during the 50 years period.
