The information is related to four countries including England, Wales, Scotland, and North Ireland. Broadly, it can be seen that Scotland was the only country that experienced an increase in female unemployment. However, other countries encountered a decrease in their unemployment rates.
The percentage of jobless women in England declined 0.3% in just a single year, from 6.8% in 2013 to 6.5% in 2014. Wales had a slightly declining percentage of unemployed females as well, placing the rate from 5.4% in 2013 to 5.0% in 2014. North Ireland had experienced the greatest growth in women finding a new workplace. In 2013, their joblessness rate was 5.6%, yet had decreased to 4.6% in 2014. In contrast, Scotland was the only country that had a higher percentage of female employees’ reduction in a single year, growing 0.6% from 6.1% in 2013 to 6.7% in 2014.
