Overall, it can be seen that pasta experienced an upward trend, while the potatoes fell significantly.
Initially, in 1976 the potatoes was the highest consumed among three with almost 400 gram per week and per person which slightly increase in 1981 to approximately to 425 gram.from 1981 to 1991 it slightly dipped to 395 gram.the amount of potato eaten dramatically declined and reached to its lowest at 100 in 2006.The Pasta was least eaten in 1976 with almost 275 gram , which remarkably rose peaking at 500 g in 1996 and remain stable and was most consumed in 2006.
It is clearly seen from the figure that the rice was just above pasta in 1976 with approximately 300 gram which substantially dipped in 1991 below 200 gram and slightly increase to just over 200 g 2006 .
