Overall,the expenditure on books in all four countries increased steadily . Units are in dollars .

Firstly,In 1995 ,Germany and France peoples had the most expenses on books .From 1995 to 1997 , they saw increases in the sales of books ,which was around 90 dollars in Germany and 70 dollars in France .After that ,By 2005 ,Germany and France saw their highest book purchases and remained first and second spenders.

Secondly, In 1995, Italy was third and Austria was the fourth one . From 1995 to 1999,the expenses on books increased rapidly in Austria , whereas the fluctuation could be seen in Italy . In 2003, the Austrai became the third book spender country, and after that Italy became fourth one .
