Overall, Nissan and General motors reached its best result by the end of the analysed period,with the share of production time of General motors were as low as Nissan however, they overtook it and became a leader.
First of all, the amount of time taken to produce a vehicle Nissan reduced from under 38 hours in 1998 to 24 hours in 2000, slumping remarkably. In addition, the figure dwindled gently between 2000 and 2002, a nearly eightfold reduction. As for the General motors, started from 32 hours in 1998 and decreasing 2 hours every year, they reached 24 hours. The figure shows a diagonal fall.

Notably, the Daimier Chrysler after 2 years remaining at this level, they dropped greatly to 28 hours in 2002. Moreover, the amount of hours to manufacture a car of Ford after increasing gently, it declined slowly, accounting for 26 hours in 2002.
