Generally, most companies reduce the time taken manufacture a vehicle over the year.
The most significant reduction was observed in Nissan, while Ford production time to remain constant. By 2002, had the rapidly increase in production time, Whereas Dalmler Chrylar took the longest to manufacture a vehicle.
Looking at the data in more detail. There was a noticeable decline in production time, dropping time 37 hours in 1998 to 21 hours in 2002.
Similarly, General motors and Dalmler Chrylar remained the slowest, around 29 hours in 2002. Ford production time remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly between 26 hours an 27 hours.
