At a fleeting glance, it can be clearly seen that the bus rides fluctuated during the time period shown on the graph. In 2011 the average residents who travelled through bus was slightly more than 400,000,000, which rose slightly to about 450,000,000 in 2010, declined a little in 2013, rose to almost 500,000,000 in 2014, and then decreased to about 450,000,000 in 2015.
Deliver deeper, the subway ridership rose significantly during the same period of time. In 2011, a little over 600,000,000 rides were taken by the subway; the number increased to about 650,000,000 in 2012, and continued to increase steadily until it reached around 750,000,000 in 2015.
Overall, the number of subway ridership increased constantly every year and was significantly higher than bus ridership. In addition, bus ridership increased and decreased during the time period.
