The bar chart illustrates the comparison of fertility rate of women in six different gulf countries over a decade from 1990 to 2000.
Overall, it is clear that fertility rate has downward trend in all of the six gulf countries over the ten year period. Notably, Oman and S.Arabia stand out with highest fertility rate in both the years.
Initially in 1990,women in Oman had the prime rate in fertility of 7 followed closely by S.Arabia with just over 6 but the rates dropped down to just above 5 for both the countries by 2010.Likewise Qatar and UAE registered a similar birth rate of about 4 in 1990.UAE suffered a substantial decline to just under 3 in 2010 while the rate for Qatar fell between 3 -4.
Conversly,Bahrain and Kuwait were the countries with the least fertility rate over the decade,initially registering between 3 to 4 births per woman in 1990 and considerably falling below 3 by 2010.
