Atherton University with nearly 4500 students was just behind the University of Lakewood in 1980. The number of its applications has risen ceaselessly for 30 years and it was the most applied university in 2010 with just over 6000 pupils, followed by Alstead University. Alstead University had shown a plateau from 1985 to 1995 which was followed by a sharp oscillation around 2000. Eventually, it has been the second most popular college among all for more than 25 years. Lindslade College with number of applicants fluctuating around 2500 has never been an appealing choice for 30 years.
Overall, it is clearly seen that after 1985 the upward trend of Atherton and Alstead was continous and uninterrupted, while the University of Lakewood went into nosedive over the years.
