The line chart delineates the number of how many library books male and female read at Burnaby Public Library over a four-year period starting from 2011.
Overall, a notable surge in reading books of male was higher than female, which decreased at the last period. Moreover, in the last period, the men readers peaked a top; however, the women grew and drastically declined.
In 2011, the number of men’s books read started at around 3.000 books whereas the figure of women was higher at nearly 5.000 books. After that, men readers slowly grew at 4.000 books in 2012, which skyrocketed and overcame the figure of women at about 10.000 books in 2013. It continued to increase and reached at nearly 14.000 at the last period.
Contrastingly, the data of women readers slightly grew to around 9.000 books the next two years. Following that, the figure quickly drop and hit lowest point at nearly 7.000 books in 2014, which was higher by 1.000 books compared to the first period.
