The line graph illustrates the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six month period in 2011.
Overall, the number of enquiries received in person, by letter/email and by telephone have different changes in the same period. The requests for information received in person and by telephone both had an upward trend while the enquiries by letter/email had a downward trend.
The most popular method of information requests was by telephone. The number of questions by telephone was the most popular of around 900 enquiries in January. In the next month, February 2011, there was a decrease to 800 enquiries then it increased to 1000 in March 2011. Meanwhile, the number of assistance by telephone increased steadily from 1000 to 1600 between April to June in 2011. In the meantime, the number of interactions in person was the least popular with the lowest number around 450 enquiries in January 2011. After that, there was a little increase from 600 to 800 in person assistance in February and March respectively. Then, there was a dramatic increase in the number of enquiries in person from 800 to 1900 between March and June 2011.
In the same period, requests for information by letter/email were the second most popular. There were more than 750 enquiries in January 2011. Then, there was a small decrease in the number of telephone assistance to around 750 enquiries. It was followed by a sharp decrease of around 750 to 390 telephone calls from March until May 2011, then it gradually stabilized starting from May to June 2011.
