The line graph illustrates data regarding the number of overseas visitors to three different areas in Europe, from 1987 to 2007.
From an overall perspective, it is apparent that there were considerable increases in overseas visitors to both the coast and the mountains, while the people of the Lakes saw a substantial fall. Of particular note is that the Lakes had more overseas visitors in 2007.
As for the overseas visitors on the coast, it commenced at 40 thousand, after which, it then saw a substantial decline till the 1992, hitting a low of just over 30 thousand. At this point, the figure went up significantly, finishing at around just over 70 thousand until 2007. If we look at the mountains, the trend has slight fluctuations and increased to just over 30 thousand in 2007.
By contrast, the individuals of the lake went in the opposite direction. The trend rose significantly and reached a peak well over 70 thousand by 2002. Subsequently, the figure went down considerably to 50 thousand.
