Overall, the number of shop closures and openings were highest at the beginning of given year 2011 whereas, the lowest number is at the end of the year 2018.
In 2011, the number of shops opening peak up at around 9000. However, it gradually decreased with a noticeable change in the years 2012 and 2015, then, falling to 4000, the number of shops which remained constant for two years. By 2018, the establishment of stores was at an all time low with 3000 shops.
On the other hand, the number of shops closed in 2011 was little under 7000, which gradually increased to a little over 7000 before falling to 6000 in the year 2013. However, it had a great downfall, reaching nearly up to zero in 2015. Then, it skyrocketed up to 5000 and remained constant throughout 3 year time period.
