The line graph illustrates information about Australian exports to four different countries between 1990 and 2012. It is clear from the graph that China has experienced a significant increase, while Japan has had the lowest export values throughout the same period.
In summary, although Japan had the highest number of exports in 1990, China surprised the world with an approximately 30% increase over 22 years.
To begin with, China has shown the highest growth in exports, increasing rapidly from 8% in 2000 to 38% in 2012. In contrast, sales in Japan declined from 35% in 1990 to 20% in 1995, and further decreased to 10% in 2012.
Moreover, India had the lowest amount of exports, around 10% in 1990. Over the next decade, it slightly increased to 15% in 2000 and then decreased to 12% in 2012. In comparison, the US had 15% of exports in 1990, which decreased to 5% in 1995. Subsequently, there was a significant decrease to around 2%, but by 2012, it had slightly increased to about 8%.
