The line graph compares the exports to four nations namely Japan, the US, China, and India from Australia over the period of 22 years from 1990 to 2012.
Overall, India and China received major exports from Australia in comparison to the US and Japan.
Initially, in 1990, exports to China and India was around 2% and 1% respectively which gradually increased till 2005 to 5% and 2% respectively. Later, export to China rocketed to 30% by 2012 whereas, for India there was a gradual increase to 8% in 2010. In 2012, a decrease to 6% was seen for exports from Australia.
Conversely, the US and Japan were the countries with least exports from Australia. Japan imported between 25% to 30% from Australia in 1990 but with time it reduced to somewhere between 15% to 20% by the year 2012. Similarly, for the US it was between 10% to 15% in 1990 and by 2012 it dropped to 7% approximately.
