Overall, Japan accounted for the highest percentage of Australian exports in the first year, whereas China accounted for the highest percentage in the last year.
According to the line graph, in 1990, Australian exports to Japan were just above 25%, which sharply declined to 20% in 1995 before gradually declining to around 17% in 2012. On the contrary, exports to the USA were slightly above 10% in 1990, which lowered to near 7% in 1995 before rising close to 10% again in 2000. From 2000, that number constantly fell until 2010 before reaching around 7% in the final year.
Moreover, exports to China were near 3% in 1990, which shot up year after year and reached near 27% in the final year. Whereas, Australian exports to India in the first year were slightly below that of China in the same year, which remained almost unchanged until 2000 before rising to 5% in the last year.
