Overall, it can be seen that the amount of exports to China showed steady growth during the period and also become the largest country that Australia exported to. Iin India, the percentage of Australian exportation showed an upward trend, even so, India were consistently the lowest level over the given period. However, in other countries, US and Japan, there were a downward trend over the period.
Turning to the specific data, the propotion of exportation to Japan decreased gradually from about 22% to roughly 16% in these 22 years. Similarly, those in US experienced a fluctuated drop, falling from about 11% to around 6% between 1990 and 2012.
In contrast, the amount of exportation to China increased rapidly from almost 2% to around 28% to the end and then overtook those in US and Japan at around year 2004 and year 2006, respectively. In terms of India, the percentage of exportation remained the stable at just about 1% until 2000, going up sharply to around 7% in 2010, but then declined to 5% in 2012.
