The graph illustrates the number of different species of turtles in India between 1980 to 2012.
Overall it is evident that Olive turtles had the highest population than other species, over a period. while other groups fell down in reproduction. Leatherback had least count in the end of table.
In 1980 all the species were started in the same number of population. Olive turtles rose rapidly from 100 to nearly 130 in 22 years. Leatherback saw increase in their initial year upto around 110 in 1987, but after that it fell down significantly to below 60 in 2012.
But, other different types of species have a flutuated in their population. compare to Green and All species, all species had bit higher reproduction than Green. In the end of the 2012, Olive and All species were had high numbers compared to 1980. After 1996, there was much difference in the population between these groups of turtles in India.
