The image illustrates four different type of turtles population in India from 1980 to 2012. The various type of turtle are Leatherback, Green, All Species and Olive Ridley.
Overall, it can be noticed that, Olive Ridly outnumbered all the other being, whereas, Letherback number gradually decrease. Green and all remaining species population had slightest changes .
All the turtle species count was 100 in the year 1980, intertwining with each other till 1986. The number of Olive Ridley Turtle gradually increased and the population reached almost 140 in 1997. The number then witnessed fluctuation till 2012, and the count plummed. In contrast, Leatherback, after reaching 110 in 1987, the species drastically fell to almost 55 in 2012.
Meanwhile, Green Turtle number fluctuated over the period of 32 years. The number slightly fell down to 90 in 2012. Other remaining species, also fluctuated over the year, but the count was slightly high comparing to the Green Turtle, that is 110.
