The graph chart illustrates the petroleum, natural gas and coal production level in the UK in the time period of 19 years from 1981 to 2000. Units are given in million tonnes of oil.
Overall, several changes occurs throughout the time period, while coal production continously faces decline, and production of natural gas increased over the years.
In terms of petroleum, in 1981 it is slightly less than 100 million tonnes, which increased and reached at higher point of about 140, then suddenly its production dropped to the point of hundred million tonnes in 1991. Which again rise at the top in 2000.
The production of coal mostly go through the decline phase in the years of 1986 to 2000. While the UK focused more on natural gas as we can see only rise in the production from approximately, 38 to more than 100 million tonnes. It is represented by gray color.
