The online adults are using various websites in the USA. They use Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Linkedin, and Twitter. We can see, that Facebook is the most popular all the time. In 2012 67 percent of online adults used it. Every year number of percents soared and in 2015 hit a peak, which was 72 percents. Another website, which was less used, is Linkedin in 2012 it was the second most popular website, every year number of users rose gradually until the 2014, because then it plummeted, and finally it was forth positions in popularity. The third was Twitter the number of users over the years rose gradually, until the 2014 when usage remaid flat and in the end finished on the last place. Next was Pinterest, which’s usage soared every year, and due to that in 2015 was in second place, behind the Facebook. The last was Instagram, which like others websites usage rose gradually and finally it was in the third position.
1. Generally the trend is the same for each website, beyond the LinkedIn which in 2014 plummeted.
2. The changes in the proportions are noticeable, because Facebook is in the first place all the time, and it is big difference between it and rest.
3. I think the purpose of the survey is to see if the use of social media has changed.
