The provided bar chart depicts the profits earned by Egypt from three different resources between the years 1982 and 2003. In general, overall income from three sectors combined increased throughout the period followed by a decline at the end. To be specific, tourism sector contributed the most while agriculture had the least impact.
During the early 16 years , the total income has increased from around 3 billion US dollars to approximately 6 billion. This rise has been predominantly propelled by construction and tourism which was the lowest contributor in 1982 with less than 0.5 billion dollars. Moreover, although agriculture had the most proportion in 1982, it decreased during the period and returned to the former amount at the end.
From 1997 , all industries except for Agriculture experienced growth especially tourism reached its peak at roughly 4.5 billion dollars in 2000 and it is 1.5 billion dollars more compared to the number it was in 1997. Meanwhile construction sector also summited in 2000 and it was almost 3.5 billion dollars .
However , after 2000 , construction and tourism sectors demonstrated downfall trend until the end while the proportion of agriculture escalated. In 2003, the proportion of tourism and construction were 1.8 billion dollars and 2.5 billion dollars respectively . While agriculture sector had a growth of 0.2 billion dollars since 2000 and reached its initial amount of 1.5 billion at the end .
