Overall, in 2020, there appeared a noticeable decrease in the number of tourists, especially in the US and Canada. The similar declining pattern was also recorded in the income data, where Transportation & Travel Agent remained the tourism industry having the lowest income during the 2-year period.
In 2019, China and Japan gained the greatest popularity among tourists, starting at 3000 visitors, followed by 2700, 2200 and 2100 in Australia, US & Canada and Europe. After a year, whereas the three country China & Japan and Australia experienced a moderate drop at 900 and 100, respectively; the US & Canada and Europe, however, were far exceeded by half the initial number of tourists coming to Europe and only a negligible number of people visiting the US & Canada in 2020.
Regarding the table, Hotel & Resort took the lead in annual income in 2019, with 3.5 million dollars. This is followed by 2.4 million, 1.4 million and 1.3 million in other tourism industries. However, Restaurant, Bar and Souvenir Shops was the biggest industry with 1.2 million in 2020.
