Overall, the chart and the table shares a similar trend with both experiencing a decline going from 2019 to 2020. For the bar graph, the US and Canada experienced the biggest drop in numbers while Australia the least. The table is no different, with Hotel & Resort losing the most and Tour Guides, Small Venders, and other Services the least.
According to the bar graph, US & Canada withnessed a massive decline in the number of foreign tourists from roughly 2200 in 2019 down to just a little above 300 by 2020. Europe experienad a similar story with foreign visitors figures cut in half in just a year from over 2000 in 2019 down to approximately 1000. This is followed by China & Japan whose figures dropped from 2000 to just shy of 2000 in 2020. Lastly Australia experienced the least dramatic drop from roughly 2700 to about 2400 in 2020.
The table also tells a similar story. The Hotel and Resort industry got hit the hardest, losing 3 million dollars in the time span between 2019 and 2020, going from 3.5 million dollars annually to just half a million. The Restauran, Bar, & Souvenir shops industy along with the Transportation & Travel agent industry both lost a similar amount of income with the former going from 2.4 million annually to 1.1 and the latter going from 1.3 to 0.4 million dollars annually. Tour guides, Small Vendors, and Other services got off lightly with only going from 1.4 million to 1.1 million dollars a year in this period.
