The given bar chart illustrates the comparison of the 8 consumer goods in one country over 7-year period between 2001 and 2008.

Overall, it is clear that telephone proportion showed a slight decrease while another 7 items rose rapidly. In general the telephone percentage recorded the highest figures while internet and dishwasher goods had the lowest value.

In detail, the telephone showed a slight decrease and fall from 95% to 90%. The Microwave, cd player and clothes dryer trends presented a slight increase between 2001 and 2008. For example microwave rose from 80% to 90%, cd player was changed from 70% to 90% and clothes dryer showed an upward trend showing increase from 60% to 70% respectively.

By contrast, the mobile phone section accounted for a much bigger proportion and dropped from 20% to 80%. Internet and dishwasher rose sharply from 10% to 60% and 40% respectively.
