Overall, from 1980 to 2015 amount of young people who prefered a vegetarian diet was fluctuating. After 2015 there was significant increase in popularity of this diet among adolescents.
In 1980 there was about 160,000 teenagers who refused to eat animal meat in UK, and it is the lowest point in the whole diagram. There was a little rise to 260,000 individuals in 1985. Then, this number was fluctuating almost on the same level between 260,000 and 200,000 people until 1995.
During next 10 years, UK experienced a sharp leap to 400,000 in 2000 after what decreased to 200,000 people again in 2010. This number stayed at the same level of 200,000 roughly next 10 years. In 2015 number of young who were on vegeterian diet drastically increased and peaked in over 900,000 adolescents in 2020.
