The given maps illustrate the changes in the same area in the Brindell over the two time periods: 1800 to 1900 and 1900 to 2000.
Overall, there were many developments in this area over the given time. The most noticeable changes that occurred in the first time period (1800 to 1900) were the industries and the Burn Hill, village for workers. The most visible change in the second time period (1900 to 2000) was the Burn Hill park.
In 1800, there was an animal farmland next to the Brindell; however, this feature disappeared with the construction of industries and Burn Hill. In 1900, the area of the woodland was reduced, and the area of the River Stour was expanded.
Moreover, in 2000, the area of the woodland was further reduced, but the area of the Brindell and Burn Hill further increased. Also, industries were expanded during this time, but the areas of the crop farmland and the River Stour were reduced. Further, the new Bun Hill park was developed in front of the woodland.
