The illustrations depict the urbanization of Brindell in three different period of time, 1800,1900 and 2000. Looking overall, woodland’s area had been reduced throughout the years,while more constructions were built to match the locals’ demand.
Regarding the main features off Brindell in 1800, back when it served as a agriculture land: Notably, the majorities of the lands were used as farmlands, where they built up for different purposes. In addition, the farmland positioned in the upper left corner were exploited for crops while the other one that sat in the bottom right was employed as livestock farming. Simultaneously, there was a woodland situated in the upper right corner and a river stour appeared in the central area, providing water for the lands.
Concerning the development of Brindell in 1900 and 2000. In 1900, the space for crops planning was extended, meanwhile, the other one had been replaced with the appearance of a Bunhill village, which was constructed for the workers along with the industry situated on the right hand side of it. Similarly, in 2000, another piece of woodland was seperate and reconstruct as a park for the villagers. Furthermore, there was a surge in size of the bottom left area, where it represents not only the increased in acres but also the expansion of the village and their industry.
