The line graphs illustrate the number of drivers caught driving too fast by speed cameras placed on roads, and the number of people killed in road accidents in Britain in last eight years since the time when speed cameras introduced.
Overall, the number of drivers kept on increasing year by year with the peak number in the last year. The number of road accidents fluctuated throughout the given time period. Interestingly, the number of drivers and accidents were highest in the last year.
For the first three years, the number of drivers caught by speed camera were between 200,000 and 400,000. In the middle years, the number of drivers kept on increasing steadily which went from around 450,000 to almost 800,000 which is just the twice in comparison to the previous three years. In the last two years, the number of drivers caught just skyrocketed from around 1,200,000 to almost close to 1,600,000.
The number of road accidents kept on rising for the first three years which started from around 3000 to around 3400 approximately. After that, there is a slight fluctuation in the number of road accidents in the following three years which were around 3000, even less than from the first year. In the next two years, the numbers slightly went up above 3000.
