The graph and pie charts illustrate the data to show the number of kilometers covered for three different purposes, as well as indicating the proportions of the vehicles used in the UK over a period of 20 years between 1990 and 2010.
Overall, it is evident that the number of kilometers and percentages changed considerably in all three different forms of travelling, as well as for the vehicle types over the periods.

In contrast, personal usage of travelling remained stable with little variations, around 3100 meters. Whereas local travelling remained low, at approximately 1900 meters.
By 2010, the numbers for transport and delivery showed dramatic decline was about 6000 meters. Secondly, the figures fell for personal purposes at approximately 3000 meters throughout the periods. However, the numbers soared to around 2200 meters for the commuting.
Furthermore, the pie charts indicate the types of vehicles. The proportion for cars fell by 4%. Moreover, the percentages for buses, motorcycles and other type of travelling medium decreased by 1%, whereas the proportion for trucks increased by 5%.
