The given line graph depicts the number of male and female employees in various employment sectors of the Republic of Freedonia in 1975 and 1995.
Overall, in 1975, the highest number of workers in the communication department were male which changed by 1995. Also in wholesale and retail trade, there were more female staff than male staff in 1995 than compared to 1975.
The number of male and female workers in the manufacturing sector remained constant from 1975 to 1995. Whereas, the communication sector saw a huge rise in female employees in 1995 which is approximately three times that in 1975. Apart from this, Finance or banking has also observed a sharp rise in female workers in 1995. Initially, in 1975, the number of female workers was nearly 120 and increased to around 420 in 1995. Male employees remained the same in both the communication and finance/banking sectors in the mentioned periods.
There are 650 male workers in wholesale and retail trade in both years. But women staff were 800 in 1995. Both male and female workers remained unchanged in the Public sector (non-defense) in 1975 and 1995. Almost there were 30 female staff in the Public sector(defense) in 1975 which climbed to 110 in 1995. There was a slight increase in the number of male workers in the same sector in the given period.
